What a similar condition happened between the Uighurs and the PRC gov.
PRC gov thinks Uighurs are savages.
What they do is to "teach" them to become han or "replace" them by han people on their land.
Is is so difficult to respect the other culutre even though the gov want to take the natural resource from the land?
No matter which cultures, it might take a long time to form. But it's easy to destroy by several days and years.
To respect minor cultures on the land is one way to judge the maturity of one country and its people. Many Westerns once did wrong, but now they try to do it well.
What will China gov do after the arrestment?
Is China a "great" country?
